Holiday in Gucci Style

Thinking of St. Tropez or Aspen in mind for the next year break? Well, before you start booking your first class flight tickets or better still, warm up those private jet engines, do take along several Gucci's Resort 2007 collection inside your suitcase.

While creative Director Frida Gianinni gave her Midas touch on everything gold this Fall from the patent leather stacked heels matched with jersey evening gown that reminds me of how the Dynasty cast used to dressed in to the studded belt that proved to be one of Gucci's bestselling accessory this season, the Resort 2007 collection is more relaxing compared to the current Fall/Winter collection.

Floral prints with a bit of Chinoiserie touch, nautical prints and lace, plus a boho chic comeback is what a Gucci fan should have within their holiday agenda. The chinoiserie effect can be seen on one of the dress where the hem line is decorated with Chinese blue-porcelain inspired decoration as well as the printed blue flowers that looked as much as the Chinese porcelain wares.

Boho look (think of the off-shoulder dress and layered ruffled skirt) has been given a new breathe and is expected to boom off the racks. Cutouts on the back plus a hanging neckline exudes the allure of the evergreen bohemian gypsy looks.

According to Giannini who has been in the business taking over the position which was once helmed by the no other than the sexy yet macho Tom Ford, she is taking fashionistas back to the 1960's St. Tropez where the once idyllic fishing village turned popular thanks to French sex symbol Brigitte Bardot.

But after all, Gucci has always been known for its accessories and here, accessories are taken seriously as well. Printed handbags and shades are just perfect to complement your next season style. The Gucci Resort Wear 2007 will be available early next year in Gucci stores near you.
