World’s famous burlesque performer Dita Von Teese has officially turned 36 this month.
What’s more, her birthday bash, a private event threw by Fendi beautifully concludes the week-long Paris Fashion Week, which ended with impeccable glamour, glitter, and splendour on last Sunday.
Held when the clock stroke twelve in the midnight, the event was attended by fellow celebrities and friends such as Australian songbird Kylie Minogue, “Virgin Suicide” and “Marie Antoinette” director cum Marc Jacobs’ long-time muse Sofia Coppola, shoe designer Christian Louboutin, as well as current It girls Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Alice Dellal.
Kylie, who came alone to the Le Milliardaire club party was immaculately dressed in a printed silk evening gown while Coppola chose to dress in simple black long coat and peeped toes.
On the other hand, Louboutin, whose shoes are sacredly adored by shoe-mad women around the world with Sarah Jessica Parker as group leader, turned up in casual ensemble of single-breasted jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and a pair of sneakers.
"Dita is a totally modern icon, no matter her age!" says Aussie songbird and breast cancer survivor Kylie Minogue to Vogue.com’s Tina Isaac.
But all eyes were of course, on the guest of honour herself who arrived a few minutes later. Brimming with unparalleled beauty plus lots of je ne sais quoi, Dita captivated the guests’ attention by appearing in a Fendi goddess dress with dangerously plunging neckline and accessorized with netting veil on her head. Completing her sophisticated burlesque queen look that evening was a beautiful black fur coat from, what else, Fendi.
When asked about how old she is this year, the ever-youthful and classic beauty Dita unashamedly answered: "Thirty six and my ass have never been better!"
Champagne flute toasting aside, it was the birthday’s girl 'seductive' cake that served as the evening’s cherry on top. Doused in seductive red, the three-tiered cake is trimmed with (probably) unwrapped gold coin chocolates around each cake and adorned with fireworks instead of candles.
Later, guests went on partying till the wee hours in the morning. After all, you are in the eternally stylish Paris, a city of lights that literally, never sleeps.
At the moment, Dita’s retro-inspired lingerie collection for Wonderbra is taking Europe by storm. For more information regarding of the line and where to buy, visit http://www.ditasdomain.com/wonderbra/ today.
