Madonna for H&M

After a succesful stint with Italian fashion house Versace, Madonna is now featured as the new face of Swedish fashion retailer chain, Hennes and Mauritz or globally known as H&M. Known for its up-to-date style, collaborations with fashion maestros (the last was Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel and the recent, duo Viktor and Rolf) with affordable price (who can resist that oversize purple-tinted shades at only US$7.00 for God's sake?!!!), the superstar and her tour crew's wardrobe were sponsored by the label as a part of their long-term agreement where Madonna will be starring in the advertising campaigns.

"Partnering up with H&M feels like a perfect fit. We'll all get to express ourselves in our own individual ways. The dancers and I are excited to go shopping together," stated Madonna in press statement released by H&M.

As an added bonus, her crews will also be featured on the label's ad campaign for the upcoming Fall/Winter season 2006/07. The ads have started making its appearance in magazines and newspapers in countries where H&M stores are available.

"This is a thrill for H&M. Aside from being great fans of Madonna's music and fashion sense, we admire her ability to always be ahead of the trends in everything she does. We look forward to seeing how her touring family translates H&M's seasonal trends to their own personal looks," says H&M's head of design Margareta van den Bosch.

The new Fall/Winter 06-07 collection will be available in H&M stores worldwide starting from mid August.
