Taiwan Parties In Versace Mode

Last weekend was an awesome yet memorable evening for Taiwanese and regional fans of Italian high-fashion brand Versace. The Italian fashion house celebrates the inauguration of its latest store opened within one of the world's tallest structure, the Taipei 101 shopping mall.

The venue was decorated with vertiginous structure while the lighted brand's name sat atop of the structures all illuminated with bright lights. Guests, ranging from the regional press representatives made up of top fashion editors, local and international celebrities, as well as socialites and Versace's loyal customers in Taiwan attended the party.

The lavish dinner was held on the 86th floor of the mall, located at the Taipei Financial Center and is considered as the tallest structure on earth ever built in Asia, surpassing the Petronas Twin Towers. The new Versace store boasts a spacious retail space of 1600 square feet and houses the brand's complete ready-to-wear, accessories and jewelry collection.

"It was really spectacular," says Versace chief executive Giancarlo Di Risio to Womens Wear Daily (WWD). "Taipei 101 is one of the most prestigious malls in Asia. This opening shows how important the market is to Versace."

The Taipei boutique is a part of the brand's expansion within the Asian region, particularly within the Far East and South East Asia that is worth
10,000,000 of investment. The plan includes the opening of two more stores in China's capital Beijing, and another six stores in other parts of the continent, not to mention the soon-to-be-open double-story flagship store at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping center in the third quarter of the year.

As usual, when it comes to flagship openings, the million dollar question that may rise is - will Donatella and daughter Allegra will attend the inauguration of Versace's first double-story flagship store in Malaysia and Asia for the first time? The answer? Only Donatella and the Versace people have the answer.
