Pedro Garcia S/S 08 ... Let The Spirit Roam Wild

The loud and clear spirit rules Spanish shoemaker Pedro Garcia’s spring/summer 2008 shoes collection.

Catering to women with ability to distinguish between pure luxury and excellence, deluxe and extreme high-end, handmade and virtuoso, six new interesting colors – the acidic and liquid Astral, Aqua, Citronelle, and skin-toned Light, Medium, and Dark – are introduced plus an array of sexy shoes with a given conceptual twist plus a breath of fresh air.

Starting the amazing spring/summer 2008 collection this year are little clean-cut numbers with no buckles and backstitches present and they are high square, open-toed platforms, strappy sandals, flat bios, and rock ‘n roll flats while pumps and peeped-toes are treated with the new yet adorable sweetheart cut and Pedro Garcia’s timeless frayed satin finish.

High on the list among shoe mad women around the world are Pedro Garcia’s Cinderella’s legendary glass slippers-inspired Swarovski crystal-swathed peeped-toe D’Orsays and luxurious satin thong sandals with marvelous crystals set on the shoes upon a layer of vinyl instead of the traditional foil backing, allowing both shoes and the crystals to radiate its inner glow.

Python skin shoes, such as sweetheart-cut ballet flats, high-heeled pumps and pointed open-toes and monk sandals, get a glamour touch of uneven metallic gold and silver leaf coating plus dash of Texan couture variety.

Talking about monk sandals, Pedro Garcia and Dale Dubovich also created another version of them – flat in monochromatic designs with English manor library hues.

This season, do look out for hybrid shoes from Pedro Garcia such as the one-of-a kind ankle T-strap and open-toe sling back Mary Janes that promotes total comfort, has no buckles or seams and set on either platform or dramatic 11cm heels with heavy silhouettes in heavy split leather with a laminated back. After all, being comfortable and at the same time in style, is what everyone needs.

Inspired from cabinet-making technique, Garcia and Dubovich conceived another must-have pairs of the season in plongé nappa leather or canvas adorned with gold leaf.

Here’s how it’s done – fine leaves of white or moon gold, silver or palladium are applied directly to high-heeled sandals, ballet flats and jazz shoes, making them more irresistible and oh so tempting for you to slip your feet in.
