Fendi Reopens Avenue Montaigne Flagship

It was the fashion week season and winter was close to hibernation time. The stylish ones were flocking into Paris to view the upcoming fall/winter collection while at the same time, partying like there's no tomorrow.

In the middle of the infamous luxury retail brand belt Avenue Montaigne, Italian luxury lifestyle purveyor Fendi threw a fete to celebrate the reopening of its newly renovated flagship store in Paris.

Attended by international celebrities, top clients and selected medias alike, most guests showed up in garbs from Fendi's latest spring/summer 2008 collection. Actress Jessica Alba looks stunning in a satin black maternity gown with frayed hem while Bahamian singer Rihanna showed up in a black sequin-drenched mini dress paired with neon green and black peeped toes.

While classic beauty Marisa Berenson looks stunning in black Fendi halter dress with white spiral prints and appliqué with a furry white jacket worn over, Ashley Olsen had herself swathed in stars and accompanying her to the star-studded event was her twin sister Mary-Kate who looks comfortable in tailored ensemble and leopard print scarf.

Catching the paparazzi attention too were award-winning director and Milkfed founder Sofia Coppola in belted black sheath dress over layered with sheer chiffon and ruffled knee-length skirt, Vanessa Hessler in a satin dress with cropped fur coat and a pink Fendi clutch, as well as renowned architect and the man behind the new flagship design, Peter Marino in leather biker outfit.

But of course, the belle of the night and the center of attraction was none other than the 'rehab' singer, Amy Winehouse.

Exclusively flown fresh from London by Fendi, the singer who was shot to international stardom with her infamous "Rehab' song, taken from the album 'Back to Black' was spotted in a black bustier dress with lavender polka dot bra and of course, there's no chance in hell you would never see her without the trademark Sixties beehive hairdo.

Singing on a customized stage complete with her logo on the backdrop and her own band, Winehouse entertained 600 guests from all over the world, including LVMH's Bernard Arnault with her classic jazz songs as well as the highly overrated 'Rehab', which was the highlight of the event. Fendi's designer Karl Lagerfeld even took a snapshot with the problematic singer as well.

So, if you happened to be around Paris now or soon, do sneak into the newly renovated Fendi flagship at the Avenue Montaigne, Paris.
