Life in Monochrome Graphic ... Jil Sander F/W 08-09

Jil Sander's graphic suits and jackets in monochromatic graphics really caught the attention of fashion who's who at Milan's Via Beltrami.

Taking this season's art craze further to the next season, Creative Director Raf Simmons acquired his i
nspiration from monochrome marble, granite, and water ripples.

Clean line, a Jil Sander's staple remains prevalent in the collection with suits are all finely tailored to perfection with jackets perfectly fitted to the body. Sweaters with turtleneck collars are made to be body-conscious and comfy within the same time.

But the attention may go to the graphic collection of suits and jackets. Eye-catching is the word. While fashion detractors would simply say "that's too loud",to be honest with you, nothing would easily melt the ices of winter or break the chilly fall wind with these so-called "loud" pieces of artworks.

Starting with a long black coat decorated with a pattern that looks like dripping white paints that has slowly dried, the collection evolved with a variety of monochrome patterns resembling the surfaces of marble flooring or hurricane from satellite view.

One of the ensembles did, or almost, look similar to Simon Doonan of Barney's New York trademark style, except that this one does incorporate floral motives. Since black and white makes the main color palette of this coat and suits, spice it up by wearing something bright and not to sullen to make you stand out of the crowd.

Once the seasons are over and you really don't now what to do with all those eye- and attention-catching graphic coats and suits, simply get a dummy or a few, and dressed them in that graphic jackets and suits. The result is a contemporary wearable art exhibition for your friends and family to see.

Another great invest from Jil Sander's fall/winter 2008 collection will be the zipfront biker jackets in supple leather matched with straight pants or for an optimum result, premium jeans in either solid or washed out.

Anyway dear, literally you don't need a bike to wear these jackets in case if you are wondering if you really need a bike to wear it.

Jil Sander's fall/winter 2008-09 ready-to-wear collection will be in Jil Sander's stores and selected mixed brand boutiques worldwide starting end of August to late September while the spring/summer 2008 collection is out now.
