A Kate's Summer

Just look at this beautiful piece of wedge (left). What does it reminds you? If you say Pucci then you're right. It DOES look like PUCCI but actually it is not made by the brand synonymous with print itself. The wedge, named Amanda is designed by Kate Spade, an American label well-known for her girlish yet classy handbags, household items and accessories alike. This Summer, New York-based Kate Spade commemorates the season with a plethora of bright yet technicolor hues in its latest collection. Bright-rainbowish colors and floral prints are the essential element of a Kate Spade woman who enjoys her life vividly. Handbags, shoes and baby items, all were fabricated and constructed fabrics, leather, nylon, and even rafia. This piece of art is suitable matched with Celine's halterneck dress in palm-and-orchid print, which was part of Michael Kors' last collection for the Parisian label.

Apart from the wedges, the palma print collection is also made of bags and purses. Among favorites are the palma mini gabi bag, palma ava clutch and the palma jocelyn purse. Wanting a holiday in Hawaii but can't afford the time and money? Don't fret. Just go to any beaches that has the swaying palm trees and live up the mood with the Kauai collection. The Kauai collection features bags and shoes, all in the hawaiiana-inspired print. My pick for the Kauai collection will be the large maxine bag (left). This big bag is a structured handbag with with an oval handle, snap tab closure, a single interior zip pocket, and double slide pockets. The bag is also accented with light gold hardware and lined with the signature larabee dot cotton twill. So big that you can even pack your bikini, sunblock and even a tome or two for your enjoyment inside it.

The new color-bursting Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2006 collection is available at Kate Spade shops and authorized retailers worldwide now.
