Set the Gap Closer...

I know how tired we are fretting for not having the chance to buy anything that's latest from Gap since the only option we have is to buy them from the F.O.S (Factory Outlet Stores). But people, your prayers have been answered by the people at FJ Benjamin, the fashion powerhouse from Singapore who had gave us Guess? and that to die for Sheridan bedspread and terry towels from Down Under.

According to the FJ Benjamin rep, the company was given the rights to operate Gap and Banana Republic stores in Malaysia and Singapore. The first Gap Store is schedule to be open this October at Lot 10, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur which offers women's clothing and accessories. A second store, which carries the Gap adult line follows suit at One Utama Shopping Center and opens on the first week of October too. The third store, a Gap Kids/baby Gap store will open at Mid Valley Megamall on the third week of October.

In Singapore, three Gap stores will be open at Wisma Atria, Vivo City and Centerpoint Annex, all located along the ever-famous shopping belt Orchard Road. Singapore too will be the home for Gap's first flagship store in South East Asia. With a floorspace of 9,000 square feet on the ground floor with street front and interior mall facades, the Wisma Atria store will be open to the Gap fans in the city-state on the first week of December, a period where shopping thrives due to Christmas season.

In a press statement released by FJ Benjamin, Nash Benjamin, CEO of F J Benjamin Holdings Ltd, said: “F J Benjamin is honoured to be the first ever franchise partner of Gap Inc. worldwide. We are very excited with the new shopping style and choice that Gap will be offering customers in these two growth markets of Singapore and Malaysia. In particular, the accessibility of the store locations, the contemporary new store design and the range of apparel and accessories will combine to give customers a truly unique shopping experience.”
