Pucci's Primavera Affair

Come next Spring and Malaysian fashionistas will rejoice and soak themselves in the plethora of prints from the prince of prints himself, Emillio Pucci. Making its debut appearance in Malaysia next month, Asian and international fashion lovers now have another reason why they should include Kuala Lumpur in their shopping itinerary. For the forthcoming Spring/Summer 07 collection, creative director Matthew Williamson playfully mixed bright hues of aqua, azure, peach, black and white with the bold prints altogether to give the new collection a graphic affair, proving that the appointment of Williamson as the new creative director was a right decision after judging from his ability to evoke the spirit of Pucci's hallmarked prints.

Fine dresses with generous cutouts, silhouettes and dangerously plunging necklines are the serving of the day at the recent Pucci runway showcase in Milan. There's even a taste of 80's included in the new collection in the form of the inevitable leggings. One that caught our attention is the one done with Pucci's trademark print in azure and turquoise.

For bikini lovers, Pucci is renowned for its hallmark printed bikinis. Choose from halternecks to one-piece multicolor bathing suit, you won't feel out of the place while holidaying along the coast of Côte D'Azur next summer. For the finishing touch, accessorize your Pucci masterpieces with giant cuffs, sixties enamel disc pendants and a mirrored cutout wedges to give them a starlet effect. Don't be shocked if people might asked for your autograph while strolling down town!

The Pucci S/S 07 collection will be available early Spring next year in Pucci stores and selected multi-brand boutiques and departmental stores.
