Happy New Year Shoppers...

Hey hey hey, it's 2007 and come April the blog turns 1st. First of all, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope I'm not too late for that. So, what's running and happening in the fashion world. Right now in KL, designer stores already stocked in Spring/Summer 2007 collection and is available for the fashion fans disposal.

Yes, we are at least two or three months earlier than the rest of the world for the time being. Hmm, as Europe and America is blanketed by snow, Malaysian fashionistas are enjoying their new buys for the new season ahead of their counterparts in the fashion city.

Last month until New Year's Day, Italian leather goods manufacturer Tods for the first time ran End Season Sale with discounts up to 30% on selected bags, shoes and accessories. Although Tods is just a year old in Malaysia, the brand is gaining high reputation from fashionistas all over Malaysia as well as tourists who are thronging the luxurious Suria KLCC for their own dose of shopping while on stopover or just a vacation. With Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign goes on the run, the country is expecting for more than 20 million tourists arrival this year and of course shopping has always been the part of national agenda.

Good news for fans of fashion duo Dolce and Gabbana, John Galliano and Roberto Cavalli. Malaysia's fashion magnate Dato' Farah Khan, through her Melium Group of companies, is proud to announce the opening of +IT, a new multi-brand boutique that will stock D&G's ready-to-wear for both men and women, John Galliano's ready-to-wear collection for women and the 'say it loud' Just Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli's second line targeted on the young and trendy. Such decisions were made by Dato' Farah due to the changes that took place in Malaysian fashion scene which is good for the market. For lingerie fans, Parkson has brought in Moi Cree, a new line created by Wacoal exclusively available to its Suria KLCC outlet.

And this year too will mark the new milestone in Malaysian retailing scene. Please welcome the new landmark to the nation where shopping is the national pastime - The Pavilion. Located in the heart of shopping belt Jalan Bukit Bintang-Jalan Sultan Ismail, the mall has Parkson as its anchor tenant.

The new Parkson flagship store will feature a couture club, the largest beauty hall in Malaysia, a shoe salon and the cool crib - a section dedicated to kids that is filled with cool designer togs that's enough to give your kid a million dollar look. Now who says you have to fly all the way to New York or Singapore to get a million dollar spree? Thank you Parkson!

Versace too is shifting from its current flagship store location, Suria KLCC to the Pavilion within this year. Another fashion staple Hermes is expected to open their second city store at the Pavilion making up a total of three Hermes stores in KL (including one at the KLIA). The Pavilion is scheduled for opening on September 2007.

Therefore, we would like to invite you enjoy the shopping excitement in Malaysia and as Malaysians we are proud to welcome you with our warm hearts and open hands. Selamat Datang!
