Parisian fashion house Chloe has recently appointed Paulo Melim Andersson as its new Chief Designer, replacing Phoebe Philo. The appointment was announced by Chloe's CEO Ralph Toledano last October. In a press release released by the fashion house, Toledano was thrilled to have Paulo joining the house and he looks forward on him to become a part of Chloe's design legacy.
The Swedish designer graduated from Central Saint Martins and The Royal College of Arts in London with degrees in fashion design. Before joining the French fashion house, Paulo was previously the Design Director for Italian fashion bigwig Marni where he worked for the last seven years.
With his appointment to Chloe, the Swedish designer has officially joined the leagues of Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo, the big names who have navigated and groomed Chloe into one of the prestigious fashion houses in the world. Paulo's debut collection for Chloe, the Fall/Winter 2007 collection will be shown in Paris this March.
