It's Just Cavalli ... and Nothing Else.

I don't know why I keep fall in love with Roberto Cavalli season after season. Is it because of his sensuous creations that uses sexy silhouettes that helps define the femininity of a woman or is it because his name is unique and funny to pronounce? Whatever the reasons, the designer keeps on coming with surprises and improvements whenever he returns to the runway.

Last February, at 2, Via Burigozzo in Milan, Roberto Cavalli and his wife Eva presented the upcoming Fall/Winter 2007-08 collection to a handful members of the press, potential buyers and customers. While the main line focuses on the true femininity and couture-like garbs, Just Cavalli is more subtle and simple.

The clothes are edgy and less on silhouettes and details which are the main line's trademark for ages, enough to appeal the young and trendy who has no enough budget and would think at least 10 times to buy that RM 80 0
00.00 chiffon gown with cutouts on both sides of the waist with golden embroidery and embellishment details on the v-neckline.

For the upcoming Fall/Winter 2007-08 collection, Cavalli drew his inspirations from Canadian-American rock singer Lenny Kravitz, ski bunnies and biker chicks while the colors of black, metallic silver, military green, olive and black-and-white dominates the collection.

Fur hoodies, boleros and capes along with leather jackets and in either denim or metallic made the lineup of outerwear for the cold and chilling season. There's even a bunny-like head cover made of fur that doesn't caught my interest at all.

Bubble dress in babydoll silhouette and camo-inspired print is beautifully decorated with appliqué details on the sweetheart neck bust, mini bubble skirts in pink and red taffeta, cable knit sweater with wide round neck fell off the shoulder with puffed elbow-length sleeves paired with multi-tiered mini skirt.

Later, the catwalk moves on with two-piece ensemble of jacket and pleated skirt with shearling details on hemline, tailored collars, sleeves and lapels, and metallic bodyslip suit, just to name a few were the pieces that will be in stores to Just Cavalli fans by the end of August, which marks the start of Fall.

For men's collection, long bootleg pants in camo-inspired prints paired with an olive long-sleeved shirt and scarf fashioned in a guerrilla way, tailored suit, black shirt with embroidery-detailed button front paired with a pair of long black trousers in quilt-like check print and belt with Just Cavalli logo buckle.

The show continues with models sashaying the black wool high neck sweater with branching braided wool details on the front, and shiny black leather jacket with fur trim paired with matching pants were among the ones showcased to the audiences at the runway show.

The Fall/Winter Collection 2007-08 will arrive in Just Cavalli's freestanding stores and multi-brand boutiques starting this August while the latest Spring/Summer 2007 collection is already in stores now for your own disposal. In Malaysia, Just Cavalli complete collection is available at +IT.
