Stella McCartney For Target out March 12th 2007

Australian fashionistas now have one good reason to flock at Target stores nationwide in another two weeks. It's the launch of Stella McCartney's one-time exclusive collection for Target Australia.

The Autumn/Winter 2007 collection created by the celebrity designer and daughter to Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles will comprise of oversized knits in shades of charcoal, oats and dusky, skinny jean
s in black, indigo and oat, and tafetta trench coats in ash and stucco that are considered as the iconic pieces created by McCartney specially for the biggest retailer in Australia.

"I'm really excited by this collaboration," says McCartney in a press release issued by Target Australia. "I wanted the collection for Target to reinterpret the 'best ofs' and 'must haves' of Stella McCartney for winter and make my designs more accessible to a wider audience in Australia."

The Target collection by Stella McCartney is Stella's second grand collaboration with retailer outside Britain after her first collaboration with Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) was a success. The collection is build on belief that all Australians have the right to look good and feel great, and have access to designer clothes at very affordable price.

For women's collection, jeans, pants, tailored jackets, dresses, chunky knits, swing coats, blouses, tee shirts and camisoles in various range of colors and fabrics are incorporated as a part of the full collection. Apart from ready-to-wear, the accessories and footwear lineup for Stella McCartney for Target reflects Stella's commitment towards the environment where no leather or animal products were used in the collection.

Taget's General Manager of Women's Apparel, Larice Lewis says "we're so thrilled to announce this very exciting collaboration, Stella McCartney for Target will offer our customers a beautiful range of winter essentials from one of the world's leading designer's at an accessible price."

Pricing range for Stella McCartney for Target collection starts as low as AUS$29.99 (RM 55.05) for a printed scarf to AUS$199.99 (RM550.71) for a trench coat. The collection too will be supported by a specially designed concept area build in stores and biodegradable designer's shopping bag for the customer's shopping pleasure. Apart from collaboration with Target Australia, she will be launching her own organic skincare line called CARE later this year.
