It's All Scones and Tea For D&G

Fashion duo Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana have a lot of surprises all hidden under their sleeves and they know how to dress an urban male very well.

If this Fall we may see the D&G men in their spacesuits walking down the hip streets, then expect something that can make you and I over sweat ... men in leather hipsters with multi zippered pockets and studded leather sandals, and black ribbed tank with teddy bear patchwork detail on front. Owh, did I forgot to mention zig-zag briefs as well? Well now I do!

The new Spring/Summer 2008 collection was presented to the global media entourage, buyers and fashionistas from all over the world. To add pizazz to the show, a live coverage for fans who are unable to attend the event on site was made possible for Dolce&Gabbana website members.

The show took place at Metropole, at the Viale Piave in Milan. Appealed and inspired by the British culture, the duo created a collection based on the Brit mood that consists of streamlined punks and classic skinhead styles, all reinterpreted in D&G way.

For next Spring, men will be treated to several grand comebacks made by last season goodies such as skinny ties, military jacket, metallics and the evergreen camouflage cargo pants that I haven't seen in stores for quite a long time.

Sexy bodyfitting shirts worn with tie-die print pants, 50's style grandfather sweaters ( I call it grandfather sweaters because your grandpa used to wear them decades back :P), and emblematic tees are what you should stock in your closet next year if you want to keep that fashion maven status you've been flaunting around in tact.

Sheer knitted sweater (more like a mesh to me), really got my eyes popping out though! The show ended with the parade of suits in white and black that looks smartly sleek. As usual, the D&G boys received a thunderous applause from the audiences who can't wait to grab them of the shelves come next year.

At the meantime, I am still wondering, is the D&G spacesuit, which was worn by Shia LaBoeuf on the cover of this month's Vanity Fair, will make its way to +IT store? Gosh, God forbids that, I guess :D

D&G by Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2007 ready-to-wear and accessories collection for men and women will be available at +IT stores in either September or October 2007.
