Kate Moss Debuts Fragrance

British top supermodel cum fashion designer Kate Moss has just launched her first fragrance Kate by Kate Moss.

This is another business venture that might promises more moolah and extra-terrestrial fame for her after the successful and sellout fashion line that she worked with British high street fashion retailer Topshop.

According to Womens Wear Daily (WWD), the fragrance official launch was held in the exotic city of Marrakesh, Morocco, and the Coty Fragrance event was attended by the media and guests who are exclusively invited by the company to celebrate the launch.

Composed by French perfumer Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich, the perfume features black rose-inspired themed musky floral scent. Notes of orange blossom absolute, forget-me-not, pink pepper, Lily of the Valley, heliotrope, magnolia, peony, rose, patchouli, sandalwood, musk, vetiver and ambrette are composed and blended together to create a distinctive scent that is close to represent Kate's persona, lifestyle, mood and characteristics.

The flacon of the fragrance was designed by Lutz Hermann and it features a vintage-styled cap in black while the outer design of the packaging is decorated with black rose complete with torns.

According to Now Smell This blog, the fragrance is the depiction of the good and bad side of Kate. The ad campaign for the fragrance will feature Kate holding a black rose against a sky-blue backdrop and the ad will be featured in magazines soon.

Kate by Kate Moss is schedule to take Europe, Australia and Asia by storm next month and it will reach the United States market next year. To date, there is no news whether this perfume is going to be on fragrance counters in Malaysia and Singapore but we will know soon.
