Reese Whiterspoon is the New Face of Avon

World's biggest cosmetic and skincare manufacturer Avon Products, Inc. has announced the signing of famous Oscar-winning actress Reese Whiterspoon as its first ever global company ambassador.

The appointment too, which is newly-established by Avon will see Witherspoon serving as the Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation, a foundation set up by Avon focusing on breast cancer, domestic violence and emergency relief.

Also serving as the spokeswoman of Avon beauty brands and sales representatives, the multi-year agreement signed between Witherspoon and Avon requires the actress, known for her famous portrayal of chorus girl Becky Sharpe in the movie adaptation of classic novel Vanity Fair and Elle Woods, a blond fashion merchandising student turned stylish attorney in Legally Blonde, to be actively involved with product development initiatives, and appear globally in Avon websites, advertising campaigns and brochures.

Reese, who won an Oscar in Best Performance by an Actress in a leading Role for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the late Johnny Cash's biopic Walk the Line, will partner with Avon Foundation, which was founded in 1955 to raise awareness and for the Foundation's programs in the areas of breast cancer, domestic violence and emergency relief.
