Thierry Henri's Collection by Tommy Hilfiger

Boys, if you are a fan of French soccer player Thierry Henri, rejoice and be merry because he is about to be the next best thing in mens' fashion world. Introducing Thierry Henri collection by Tommy Hilfiger.

Inspired by his signature sense of style, the capsule limited edition collection is a sleek and distinguished expression of the French's athlete's aesthetics thus at the same time, marking a crucial urban look for Hilfiger.

Last year, Tommy Hilfiger announces that the French sportsman will be the new international brand ambassador for the brand's formal menswear and underwear, which means that he will be featured in the brand's ads for both Spring and Fall 2007.

At the same time, the skillful French soccer player revered by many soccer fans globally will have Hilfiger as the sponsor of his charity, One 4 All Foundation, which aims to eradicate racism and poverty through education. Tommy Hilfiger's sponsorship of the charity will include promotions at the points of sales where the capsule collection is sold.

"Thierry Henri embodies a unique sense of modern style which is integral to my design philosophy," said designer Tommy Hilfiger in a press release. "He is arguably the greatest player in the world's most popular sport. Anyone who has seen him play will relate to the apparent grace he shows as he glides past opponents."

"Moreover, his commitment to the to social causes off the field is very inspiring and complementary to the current work and value of my Corporate Foundation," Hilfiger adds.

As for Thierry, he is honored and delighted to partner with Tommy Hilfiger, one of the greatest designers of the century.

"As an individual my fashion taste is classic, but with a modern twist. I really love the fresh, clean aesthetic and unique detailing that characterizes Tommy Hilfiger as a designer and am especially delighted that he will be one of the sponsors supporting my foundation," said the iconic soccer player.

The collection features a line of streamlined modern collection of clothing, sportswear, footwear, and underwear, all resulted from the brainstorming session that both Henri and Hilfiger had twice, one in Amsterdam, where Hilfiger's corporate headquarters are now located and the other was in London.

To distinct the collection from the rest of Tommy Hilfiger's designerwears, the collection features the number 14, which is Henri's number with the Arsenal and the club's official color red is delicately peppered throughout the line.

Thierry Henri by Tommy Hilfiger collection will be retailed at select Tommy Hilfiger freestanding stores around the world this September, which includes its two newly opened flagships at the Regent Street in London and Rue St. Honore in Paris. Proceeds from the limited edition collection will go to Thierry's new charity called The One 4 All Foundation.
