Gucci To Open Two-Storey Flagship at Pavilion KL

Gucci fans, be prepared to rejoice as Gucci is opening its first multi-tier flagship store in Kuala Lumpur soon!

At the moment, the store is still wrapped under the large hoardings featuring its current Cruise 2008 collection.

Though I have no idea how it will look like, I am totally positive that this store will be fashioned after its Ginza store or maybe the one in Hong Kong, or possibly different from the two venues.

Whatever it is, cross your fingers and hope that Frida Giannini is coming to town for the celebratory launching in the next few months. Ah yes, I did hear someone asking me why Malaysia was chosen to be the new spot for the two-storey flagship and why not its neighboring cosmopolitan Singapore or Bangkok?

Well, until the whole store is under construction, I guess no one will reveal the answer. Just be patient okay my dear.

By the way, Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 collection is a plethora of graphic apparels with fifties big-skirted silhouette, a bit of toga dressing, and patent-leather accessories. Black and white with sunflower yellow dominate the collection with an occasional presence of plaids and bright fuchsia. Evening wears are still goddess-y with toga dresses and full skirts.

Do try the new Frida trousers which is roomy on the hip, slouchier in the crotch, and narrowed in the leg and cropped biker jacket in black snakeskin for an edgy look.

Apart from that, do look forward to its extensive collection of cool bags and do pray for a limited edition bags exclusive to the new flagship store once it gets unveiled.

Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 ready-to-wear and accessories will be available in Gucci stores this Spring.
