Louis Vuitton Celebrates A Sizzling Spring/Summer

French century-old fashion house and luxury goods purveyor Louis Vuitton goes sassy this cheerful and sizzling season with hot ad campaign series.

Starring original supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Angela Lindvall, Stephanie Seymour, and Natalia Vodianova,
the new ad campaign was directed by Marc Jacobs and shot by famous photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

“I thought the idea of hot chicks and cars was really cool - and very Richard Prince,” said Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs to Womens Wear Daily (WWD).

The ad campaign featured the girls in Jacob's latest spring/summer ready-to-wear offering posing on brightly-hued cars with Vuitton bags in their hands.

Artist Richard Prince, the mastermind behind Vuitton's latest creative collaboration called Pure Thoughts, voluntarily lend his 1970 Dodge Challenger car for the shoot, resulting the bevy of beauties in tie-dye sweetheart neckline dresses reclining on his car totting monogrammed bags treated in Prince's aesthetics.

“It is kind of groundbreaking to have six of the supermodels together,” said Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s director of communications, adding that, “if [Jacobs] was managing the budget, he would have even taken 12.”

Though the ads have started to appear in local magazines starting with the February, some of the provocative images were censored but what can we do, it's Malaysia maaa!!!!

Apart from the sexually-charged ad campaign and Richard Prince bags, do look out for Louis Vuitton Blason jewelry line, another aesthetic collaboration between LV's brand friend rapper and producer Pharell Williams and Vuitton's jewelry designer Camille Miceli under the artistic direction of Marc Jacobs.

The magnificent collection of fine jewels accessories in yellow gold swathed with abundance of diamonds and other glittering gemstones are set to catch the attention of any accessories junkie around the world. One of the creation, which is a cherubic ring in yellow gold sculpted to perfection (shown here) already got my eyes blinking.

Though the launch date is yet to be known, only selected stores around the world will have the privilege to carry it.

Will both Star Hill and KLCC store get this exclusive privilege? Well, lets wait and see what's happening next.

Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2008 collection and Richard Prince's "Pure Thoughts" for Louis Vuitton bag collection are available now at all Louis Vuitton stores. Ready-to-wear collection are available at selected concept stores globally.

Are you sure Linda Evangelista is going to be a part of this campaign? I've seen some of new ads on the net and she isn't in any of them. If you know something I don't, please post more info! I'd love to see Linda participate!
