Salvatore Ferragamo Pavilion Officially Open

At last, fashionistas breathed a deep sigh of relief for Salvatore Ferragamo Pavilion KL Flagship has finally opened its doors last night with a star-studded event.

As early as 7.00 p.m., guests ranging from VIPs to loyal customers of Salvatore Ferraga
mo, local celebrities as well as the members of the media (which includes me for sure :D) arrived and descended the infamous Pavilion equivalent to the Italian Spanish Steps in the heart of Rome to the party venue which is located in the middle of Bintang Circle, the heart of the Pavilion.

Guests mingled among each other amidst the free-flowing beverages and delicious canapes against the beautiful backdrop of the photo walls featuring Claudia Schiffer in a black and white portrait wearing a flowing dress and a Jackie 'O inspired sunglasses flanked by the images of Ferragamo's latest spring/summer 2008 accessories.

Behind the walls is where the real excitement begins. At half past seven, more guests began to arrive and this includes the charming Sarawakian chanteuse and socialite Camelia in stunning black knee-length dress adorned with golden studs.

Present at the event was Valeria Arozio, the Regional Marketing Director for Asia Pacific region based in Hong Kong. Precisely at eight in the evening, guests and media members were ushered to the runway located behind the towering photo walls.

Fashioned to be an intimate fashion show venue akin to those in Milan or Paris, door gifts were placed on the seats and to my surprise, it's a Ferragamo fragrance called F by Salvatore Ferragamo. I took the second row seat as I believe that the front row must be reserved for senior fashion writers, editors, and the VIPs.

Hosting the event that evening was Bernie Chan who looked stunning in a black Grecian goddess ensemble I guess, a Ferragamo ensemble. A few minutes later, models began parading the clothes taken from its latest spring/summer 2008 collection for both men and women.

Fluid and elegance teemed perfectly in vivacious hues of oranges, blues, with a hint of metallic. Catching my attention is the gold jumpsuit with wide neck and studded in gold studs, as well as sheer long shirt-dresses in tones of blue.

Ending the show was a special appearance by model/actress Kavitha Sidhu in a marvelous sequined blue dress with knee-length hem.

After the show, guests return back to the party spot and enjoyed themselves till late night with more drinks and finger foods served. A big thank you to Salvatore Ferragamo Malaysia and Priority Communications for hosting such a wonderful event.

Salvatore Ferragamo's spring/summer 2008 collection is available now at all Salvatore Ferragamo stores worldwide.
