Orange is the new black!

Orange is the new black! All over the fashion globe, orange is the hue du jour and global fashionistas are busy stocking dresses and accessories in orange just as if they are stocking the round and juicy citrus fruit in the markets.

Fresh and zesty, this bright and fun color has majestically graced the runways of Chloé in Paris and down to Versace in Milan since last September (Fashion Week my dear).

Recently, socialite and
(so-called) multi-talented entrepreneur Paris Hilton was spotted by the Paps in a floral print orange sleeveless dress and paired with all-white accessories while style doyenne Victoria Beckham walks out in a (probably Versace) stunning mini dress, also in orange.

So ladies, here are the top three orange dresses that every woman should have in her closet for spring/summer 2008. Check them out!

I love this lovely satin shift because first, shift dresses are in this season and nothing screams enchantment and magic other than this shift. Belted at the waist with obi-styled self-belt, it has a scooped neck, three-quarter length sleeves, and pleat detailing on both front and back. DKNY, 219.07 at net-a-porter.com

Diane von Furstenberg's orange cotton knit bandeau dress catches my attention. I love the front detailing - the large box pleat that looks like a maze, with two side pockets and knee-length hem. Another great alternative for day and can be worn for night as well. ₤308.93, at net-a-porter.com.

Matthew Williamson incorporates the world into his designs with exquisite tribal touch. This African beaded tank dress features intricate beadworks inspired by the African tribal beadworks at the yoke and sports a racer back. ₤792.00 at net-a-porter.com

Apart from Net-a-Porter, these marvelous summer pieces are also available at their respective boutiques as well as multibrand stores and department stores worldwide.
