Gwen Stefani and her dolls

If Barbie has been reigning the valley of dolls for nearly half a century then expect a new competition from the former No Doubt frontwoman-cum-fashion designer Gwen Stefani. After her successful L.A.M.B clothing line which hit stores and selling out like hot cakes (it even made to Collete, Paris' most interesting and coolest store to date), her partnership with Lesportsac that resulted a collection of must tote L.A.M.B hobos and weekenders, the singer known for her wicked yet eccentric Harajuku troops announces the arrival of a new addition to her portfolio - dolls.

Teaming with Huckleberry Toys, the dolls are called Love Angel Music Baby collection and comes in eight designs. All designs are inspired by her outfits used during the staging of her successful Harajuku Lovers tour last year. There's one with the school band leader outfit just like in Hollaback Girl and the other one dressed in the Alice in Wonderland-inspired getup which she wore in What You're Waiting For? video.

"I thought the dolls would be a good opportunity to capture some of the key looks from the album and the tour," stated Stefani. "The Harajuku Girls and I wore such wicked costumes we had to share them with the world again."

Scheduled to hit Target and selected fine retailers this Fall, the dolls come with interchangeable clothes, goodies exclusively designed by Gwen such as trading cards, posters and other mementos, they are set to be a hit on children's wish list come Christmas.

"The dolls are another dimension to the album and the tour, another layer to the world of Love. Angel. Music. Baby," said Stefani.

Plans for international marketing expansion is yet to be disclosed.
