New York Fashion Week is back ...

With plethora of new yet fresh ideas, fashion lovers, buyers and media members from all over the world are converging in the most coveted fashion week after London, Milan and Paris. It is the Big Apple's New York Fashion Week. Showcasing the best of Spring 2007, the event is sponsored by Olympus, Judith Ripka and MAC to name a few.

Apart from usual participation by bigwigs of the New York fashion scene namely Badgeley Mischka, Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenberg, also taking the stage this week are Temperley London, Brazilian bikini maestro Rosa Cha, French fashion house Lacoste and Turkish Atil Kutoglu.

At Heatherette show, the ultimate multi-talented heiress Paris Hilton struts her stuff on the runway stage. Fresh from promoting her debut album, Paris in Japan and around the United States, the heiress, who is also a model gave her best pose to the flashing cameras. Dressed in leopard-print empire cut dress with cutouts, she was seen pulling a pink-yellow toned luggage on the runway. Taking the stage too was her sister Nicky. Nicky who is also a fashion designer with two lines under her svelte belt, Chick and Nicky Hilton made her appearance on the runway along with elder sister. Both were wearing striped top and hot pants during the show.

And when you talk about NYFW, expect at least a little touch of the stars. At Proenza Schouler runway show, Hollywood's not-so-newlyweds Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore in Proenza Schouler were seen on the front rows. Also spotted on the front row at the same show are the Park Avenue princesses namely granddaughter to the cosmetic and fragrance doyenne Estee Lauder, Aerin Lauder, socialite sisters and daughters to author Danielle Steele and shipping magnate John Traina, Vannessa and Victoria Traina, Uk's trendsetting queen and ex-Spice Girls Victoria Beckham who was dressed in Alexander McQueen and sported her tanned look, fashion designer Tory Burch who is responsible for that goddamn creation Mariah Carey wore in her We Belong Together video, Margeritha Missoni and Bazaar's Glenda Bailey. While at Oscar de la Renta, Vogue's Anna Wintour brings Tennis player Roger Federer to the front row.

Celebrity fashion labels such as Baby Phat by Kimora Lee, Sweetface by Jennifer Lopez and L.A.M.B too are parading out their creations and expect to receive rave reviews from the media and fashion connoiseurs. New York Fashion Week is running from 8th to 15th September 2006 from Bryant Park.
