Guess? Jeans Opens at Queensbay Mall Penang

America's top denimwear label Guess? recently expanded its wings in Malaysia with the opening of the Guess Jeans store at Queensbay Mall, in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

The store is the second opened in the island city after the first one at Gurney Plaza. Like other Guess? stores in Malaysia, the Queensbay Mall outlet is managed by FJ Benjamin Malaysia, the Malaysian branch of Singapore-based top fashion and lifestyle retailer FJ Benjamin Ltd. The Queensbay Mall store carries complete ready-to-wear and accessories collection for both men and women.

For Spring/Summer 2007, Guess? is playing with hot pink, see-through knits, rhinestone embellishments, country floral prints and sensuously feminine silhouettes for the women's ready-to-wear collection. Cropped tops in sheer knits, tube with lace-trimmed details on hem and some were ruched, baby tees and tanks with stencilled logos emblazoned on the front, tiered lace top with deep V neckline and belted tops are gaining more and more attention from the trend setters.

On the other hand, Desperate Housewives-inspired dresses such as the oh-so-country Heidi halter dress with sequined details and gathered sweetheart neckline (I thought I saw this on Edie Brit?) and the typically Susan Mayer styled Nica dress with flutter sleeves and knee-height hems are touted by the Guess? people as the flirty dresses of the season.

Since belts are the in accessory of the season, accessorize with either a brass lion-buckled belt in brown leather, or the one with Maltese cross detail on the buckle with golden chain, or maybe the studded London Sound belt for a taste of European punk.
