An IT Bag for just £5? Better Believe It!

Would you believe me if I say that you can get an IT bag for just £5.00 or RM35.00? Well, you better believe it because UK's phenomenal bag lady Anya Hindmarch says you can.

In order to encourage more people to stop using plastic bags when purchasing their groceries, the bagmaker to the stars came out with a new solution - "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" bag, an eco-friendly shopper bag with a cool slogan "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" slapped on the front.

Sold at a mere price of
£5.00, the bag caused a stir among Anya Hindmarch fans in UK. When the bag was first launched, only a 1000 pieces were issued and advertised on the website.

Surprisingly, the bags were snapped entirely within three days of its online introduction by devoted fashionistas who are not only concern about their appearance but also the environment problems that took place in this world through a pre-sale.

"Keira Knightley wearing the bag is hugely brainwashing. If everyone thinks it's cool to make the statement, that's almost the tipping point where fashion can make a difference," Anya tells UK's Sun Newspaper.

"I loved the idea [of making an environmentally-friendly product] because I do believe there is so much wasted packaging. The bag we designed is big and easy and great for groceries. We put 1000 bags on our website and presold them all in three days. It's fantastic that people like Keira have supported it and believe in it too," she adds.

Supermodel Lily Cole, actress Alicia Silverstone and newcoming singer Lily Allen are among the celebrities that supported Hindmarch's crusade against the usage of plastic bags as grocery packaging, thus causing the bag, which has created a long waiting list among fashion fans who are eager to own one, to be sold at a hefty
£175.00 on online auction site, eBay.

"What's really exciting is the reaction from people. I've had letters from models, film stars, politician and even Prince Charles," said Anya.

The bag is currently out of stock and those who are interested can place their orders at Anya Hindmarch's London stores at Pont Street, Ledbury Road, Harvey Nichols and Harrods with only two bags per order. From 20th March onwards, the bag will be available at Dover Street Market, Colette Paris and online via We Are What We Do.

On April, the bag will be sold at 150 Sainsbury stores while the international launch for the bag will be made this Summer in limited edition colors. For more details, please enquire your nearest Anya Hindmarch stores.
