Colors of Tribute ... Liz Claiborne S/S 2008

After the sudden passing of iconic fashion designer Liz Claiborne who revolutionized the way working girls dress in the late 60's and 70's a few months ago, Liz Claiborne's chief creative officer Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame) and the designing team pays tribute to the legend by honoring the founding principle of the megabrand.

Taking cue from its usual customers, the working women who wants to dress he age without feeling uptight or matronly, the team came up with designs that implement the feminine clothing basics - cardigans, tailored pants, and shift dresses in fabulous volumes. Spicing it up are bold graphic prints of green and yellow, played safely along color palette of dark green, orange, courgette, and khaki.

Staples of the season includes self-belted jackets, A-line dress in psychedelic yellow-black print, orange crepe-de-chine shift dress, and simple skirt suit ensemble. These attractive yet simple pieces are suitable not only to be worn as officewear but it also can be worn as day and evening wears.

Liz Claiborne's Spring/Summer 2008 collection will be available at all Liz Claiborne stores worldwide starting early next year.
