Swing ... Swing 60's for L.A.M.B Spring/Summer 2008

The vintage fever is back and it's going back-to-back. From the must wear leggings and tights that lingers in the fashion air since last year's Fall to the ultra glam gleaming of the metallics, singer/fashion designer Gwen Stefani is bringing back the age when Marilyn Monroe, Julie Andrews and Natalie Wood ruled the days.

Oh and who can't ever forget how Audrey Hepburn captured the attention of fashionistas of the period through her remarkable "Breakfast at Tiffany's" film. It's the swinging sixties baby!

Staged to a jam-packed audiences of buyers, press members, celebrities and fashion devotees who have been devoted to the brand at New York Fashion Week, L.A.M.B's Spring/Summer 2008 lineup of 60's-inspired clothes are seemed to be wearable and on the line with up and current trends.

Fresh from touring the globe, which includes a one-night only show in KL last August as a part of her The Sweet Escape concert tour, Gwen is good in mixing and matching. Prints ruled the collection with plaids, checks, houndstooth, stripes and leopard prints making fashion statements while monochrome color palette is widely used in the collection, apart from her favorite Rasta colors of green, red and yellow. Not to be left behind is the famous classic op-art as well. Relive the heydays of Faye Dunaway and Doris Day with selection of too delicious to be true dresses and separates from L.A.M.B.

Our pick from the 48-pieces collection are leopard print babydoll dress with ruched neckline and embellished bodice, piped grey schoolboy jacket with embroidered emblem detail with matching shorts, wide-necked sweater in large houndstooth print, monochrome lace sheath dress, plaid picnic dress with underneath tulle layering, and sheer black lace blouson with ruched Peter Pan collar and darts.

Complement the look with mesmerizing accessories by L.A.M.B such as boston bags, high-heeled Oxfords and pumps.

By the way, sheer knee-length stockings are predicted to be in too so do stock them as well. As usual, the ever-beautiful Gwen complete with her red lipstick took the stage and carries the latest accessory du jour - her baby Kingston!
