Emilio Pucci SS 08 ... A Kaleidoscope of Colors

When it comes to who produces the best prints in fashion, no one could beat the psychedelic yet alluring prints of the Prince of Prints, Emilio Pucci.

Though he may no longer be with us here anymore, his classic bold prints remains fresh and alive thanks to the effort taken by daughter Laudomia, who is the current brand image director and creative director Matthew Williamson.

For Spring/Summer 2008 collection, Williamson turns to the western American country of Navajo for his seasonal inspiration. Navajo Indian tribal patterns and Pucci's signature prints were featured side by side to adorn much of the 52 irresistible pieces at its recent runway show in Milan, Italy.

The spirit
of an eternal Italian summer is channeled into caftans in kaleidoscope prints, and a scarf dress stunningly worn with a big amulet necklace. Other eye-catching pieces to take over the somber Autumn/Winter wardrobe of yours are dresses with self-belts, off-shoulder top with embellished neckline and hem details in geometric print paired with satin capris, sheer belted toga dress with gathers on the neckline in tribal geometrical print, and electrifying bright yellow printed mini dress with long wide sleeves and plunging v-neckline.

There's also an amazing blue shirtdress and spaghetti strap long dress worn with printed obi-styled wide belt. For swimwears, expect to see more cutouts and dangerously plunging neckline in either all-white knits or graphic geometric prints. Seek for fashion difference when going out with your girlfriends with golden metallic shift dresses, either plainly done or embellished with colorful triangular embellishment details.

You may also want to be the center of attractions at any events or maybe just hitting Saturday night dancefloors in another gleaming metallic golden and printed shift dress that's eye catching and dazzling.

For accessories, be bold and seductive with quirky accessories such as printed satin silk necklaces in Pucci's signature print, colorful oversized handbags with long straps featuring folksy artistic details, and chunky wooden bangles in a variety of sizes. I even like the patent leather obi belts in vivacious hues of salmon and yellow that may help to accent up your style.

The Emilio Pucci SS 08 collection will be available at all Emilio Pucci, Rosignol, and selected upscale retail establishments around the world early next year.
