Struck by Tibi

You might be surprised when you read the title but at the moment, no one got struck or plagued by the epidemic disease.

It's just that we have been struck by the
vibrant fashion ideas and uniquely inspired collections of apparels that have made its way to world's top trendsetters and fashionistas namely Liv Tyler, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, and Reese Whiterspoon, cheekily known as Tibi.

Founded by Amy Smilovic, Tibi began as a collection of brilliant must-have pieces sketched by Smilovic while living and working in Hong Kong. Influenced by her talented father, who was an artist, at an early age, Smilovic started to focus on her ability in bringing her outstanding and one-of-a-kind fashion ideas to life through unique illustrations.

To match her eccentric approach in dressing as well as her sense of style, Smilovic would design a range of different prints for each seasons.

Heavily influenced by her lifestyle and travels throughout Europe and Asia, ranging from the forests of New Zealand to the intimate beaches of Bali, and the scenic Mediterranean sea at the Italian island of Capri, these are then combined with plethora of fabulous colors, sophisticated prints and truly feminine designs to create a unique collection of comfortable, elegant, and exceptional apparels.

Today, Tibi's inviting collection of apparels are stocked by upscale retail establishments around the world.
Apart from the exclusive Tibi Loft in Soho, New York, the brand, which is a favorite among stylish women who are seeking for refinement in dressing, is also available to the masses at Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom in United States while in Europe, it can be found at Harvey Nichols, Harrods', and New Yorker's favorite multi-brand boutique Scoop.

Good news for Malaysian fans, long-haul traveling is no longer required as the brand is available locally now. Thanks to the Melium Group, the brand can be found at the newly refurbished ASEANA, KL's fashion melting pot. Created from materials that are suitable to our humid climate, the Fall/Winter 2007 collection boasts a number of pieces that should made their way into your seasonal closet.

Invest in black-and-ivory silk cherry print dress with plunging v-neck and frilled hemline, cotton jacquard top in tonal black with round neck and pleated sleeves, cowl neck mini dress in multi-color printed silk and A-line pleat front, and last but not least the whimsical-looking and folksy-styled embroidered swing jacket in black-and-cream wool with flower-and-leaf embroidered trim.

For bottoms, a Chevron brick print high-waisted A-line full skirt and a matching bomber jacket should be a match made in fashion heaven while the high-waisted black wool pants, which is the key look of the season, might goes well with any Tibi tops.

Tibi Fall/Winter 2007 collection is available now at ASEANA, Melium Galleria, Suria KLCC Kuala Lumpur and other selected retailers around the globe.
